Description
After a five-year absence, Frank Tulley is returning to the G Bar L Ranch, with plans to marry the Garth’s, the ranch owner’s, daughter. On route, he finds himself the target of some unexpected gunplay and manages to rescue a nester’s daughter. He finds himself in the thick of a war over range rights and nester trouble. His old friend and boss, Garth Lenzie is in jail on suspicion of murder and the girl he rescued is expected to provide testimony of Garth’s guilt. When the sheriff is murdered, the county commissioners ask Tulley to fill the position. Armed with a sheriff’s star and six-gun, Frank sets about rooting out the lawbreakers — and finds himself torn between his sheriff’s oath and his loyalty to Garth.
