If you want more proof that Wavesound is bringing you the hottest titles in audio, here it is. We did fabulously well at the awards with wins by
Michael Robotham, Sarah Schmidt and publishing sensation
Jessica Townsend who bagged three awards including the overall
Gold ABIA Book of the Year Award for her debut
Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow.
Jessica Townsend’s Nevermoor also picked up the Matt Richell Award for New Writer of the Year and Book of the Year for Younger Readers. It has been an incredible year for Jessica with Nevemoor hitting bestseller lists all over the world and 20th Century Fox snapping up the film rights. It also won the Indie Book of the Year Award earlier this year.
Michael Robotham, four times the bridesmaid, was finally awarded General Fiction Book of the Year for his gripping psychological thriller, The Secrets She Keeps.
Literary Fiction of the Year was awarded to Sarah Schmidt’s haunting re-imagining of the Lizzie Borden murders, See What I Have Done.
And we couldn’t have been prouder to see two of our titles The Attachment, by Ailsa Piper and Tony Doherty and Try Hard: Tales from the Life of a Needy Overachiever vying for the Audiobook of the Year Award!
We enjoyed celebrating with our shortlisted authors Ailsa Piper, Tony Doherty and Em Rusciano and our studio producers who worked hard to produce such great recordings.
